| Neutral Agreement > Albums & Lyrics |
Neutral Agreement formed in February of 2000. It began as Matt McDowell on guitar/vocals, Matt Jenkins on bass, and Mike Billups on drums. We played our first show in July of that year to over 100 of our friends. In October we recorded our first EP entitled "Motorbuggy." Motorbuggy was well received by the media as well as our fans. About a month after it's release, Bryan Patterson joined the band. Bryan plays guitar and also splits the lead vocal duties with Matt McDowell. We have been playing shows both locally and through the East and Midwest. We have played with many notable acts such as Relient K, Side Walk Slam, Sagoh 24/7, Devoted Molded, Calibretto 13, Jeremiah's Grotto, Eustace, The Blamed, and Fireproof just to name a few. In May of 2001 we recorded a 2-song demo that went on to sell over 1000 copies with little to no advertising. After 6 months of heavy playing and promotion we made our return to the studio. This time with Russ Fox, former member of the bands Bleach and Seven Day Jesus, @ Broadmoor Recordings in Barboursville, WV. After spending the full month of January 2002 working on 13 tracks we left with a full-length record entitled "Bet You Never Thought..." The band will release the record independently March 9th, 2002. With over 60 shows in less than 2 years under our belt and a full-length record on its way we have no plans to stop anytime soon. Our main purpose as a band is to show the same love that Jesus Christ has. Every show we play we express our feelings of why we play our music to the audience. We try to set examples though our lives and our music. God has used us as a vessel to change lives through our music as well as changing ourselves in the process. This music is our lives and we love it very much.
